"Rex" (Rex Coombs) began his broadcasting career in his hometown radio station at the tender age of 13... about the same time that he started playing music professionally.  Through high school and college he worked as an on-air personality and gained experience in studio commercial production. In 1977, Rex shifted his emphasis to the sales side of broadcasting and developed marketing and sales campaigns involving newspapers, billboards, direct mail and broadcast media.

In 1984, Rex joined a local computer hardware maintenance company as it's Director of Marketing. While responsibility for sales activity was his primary focus, great expertise was gained in all aspects of the computer industry.

Returning to radio as a part-time air personality in 1998 came “second nature” to him. The following January, he accepted the position of Production Director for Stark County radio stations AM-1310 WDPN and Q-92 FM . Then in June of 2005, he became WDPN's Morning Show Host; "Unforgettable Favorites" weekdays 6:00 to Noon.

Along with his radio duties, Rex works in his personal studio using Kurzweil and Alesis synthesizers, driven by Cakewalk’s "Sonar" digital editing and midi software.  He delivers mp3 files of his work via the internet and on CD.
